تُعْتَبَرُ الْقَهْوَةُ الْعَرَبِيَّةُ جُزْءًا أَسَاسِيًّا مِنَ الثَّقَافَةِ وَالتَّقَالِيدِ فِي الْعَالَمِ الْعَرَبِيِّ مُنْذُ قُرُونٍ عَدِيدَةٍ. لَقَدْ تَطَوَّرَتْ طُرُقُ تَحْضِيرِ الْقَهْوَةِ وَتَقْدِيمِهَا عَبْرَ الزَّمَنِ، لَكِنَّ مَكَانَتَهَا الْاجْتِمَاعِيَّةَ لَمْ تَتَغَيَّرْ. فِي الْمَاضِي، كَانَ تَحْضِيرُ الْقَهْوَةِ طَقْسًا يَوْمِيًّا يَتِمُّ فِي الْمَجَالِسِ وَالدَّوَاوِينِ. أَمَّا الْيَوْمَ، فَقَدِ انْتَشَرَتِ الْمَقَاهِي الْحَدِيثَةُ فِي الْمُدُنِ الْعَرَبِيَّةِ الْكُبْرَى. يَجْتَمِعُ الشَّبَابُ فِي هَذِهِ الْمَقَاهِي لِلْعَمَلِ وَالدِّرَاسَةِ وَالتَّوَاصُلِ الْاجْتِمَاعِيِّ. الْقَهْوَةُ الْعَرَبِيَّةُ التَّقْلِيدِيَّةُ تُحَضَّرُ مِنْ حُبُوبِ الْبُنِّ الْمُحَمَّصَةِ قَلِيلًا مَعَ الْهَيْلِ وَالزَّعْفَرَانِ. تُقَدَّمُ فِي دَلَّةٍ خَاصَّةٍ وَفَنَاجِينَ صَغِيرَةٍ بِدُونِ سُكَّرٍ. بَيْنَمَا الْقَهْوَةُ الْحَدِيثَةُ تَشْمَلُ أَنْوَاعًا مُتَعَدِّدَةً مِثْلَ الْإِسْبْرِيسُو وَاللَّاتِيه وَالْكَابْتِشِينُو. يَرَى كَثِيرُونَ أَنَّ الْجَمْعَ بَيْنَ التَّقْلِيدِيِّ وَالْحَدِيثِ يَعْكِسُ التَّطَوُّرَ الطَّبِيعِيَّ لِلْمُجْتَمَعَاتِ الْعَرَبِيَّةِ. فَالْقَهْوَةُ تَظَلُّ رَمْزًا لِلْكَرَمِ وَالضِّيَافَةِ وَالتَّوَاصُلِ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فِي كُلِّ الْأَحْوَالِ.

Arabic coffee is considered an essential part of the culture and traditions of the Arab world for many centuries. The methods of preparing and serving coffee have evolved over time, but its social status has not changed. In the past, preparing coffee was a daily ritual carried out in sitting rooms and gathering halls. As for today, modern cafés have spread across major Arab cities. Young people gather in these cafés for work, study, and socializing. Traditional Arabic coffee is prepared from lightly roasted coffee beans with cardamom and saffron. It is served in a special pot and small cups without sugar. Meanwhile, modern coffee includes various types such as espresso, latte, and cappuccino. Many believe that combining the traditional and the modern reflects the natural evolution of Arab societies. Coffee remains a symbol of generosity, hospitality, and connection among people in all circumstances.
