We also automatically collect usage data to improve your experience, including texts you've read, vocabulary you've learned, and your test results. We use Plausible Analytics for privacy-friendly, cookie-free website analytics — no personal data is collected by our analytics.
2. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
We process your data under the following legal bases: (a) Contract performance — to provide the learning service you signed up for; (b) Legitimate interest — to improve our platform and prevent abuse; (c) Consent — for any optional communications. If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to withdraw consent at any time.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the service, personalize your learning experience, and send important updates about your account. We will never sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
4. Data Storage and Protection
Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted in the EU/US) and Vercel infrastructure. We use SSL/TLS encryption for all communications, enforce strict access controls, and follow industry security practices. Data is retained only as long as your account is active.
5. Cookies
We use only essential cookies for authentication and remembering your preferences (theme, language). We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Our analytics tool (Plausible) does not use cookies at all.
6. Your Rights
Under GDPR and applicable data protection laws, you have the right to: (a) Access your personal data; (b) Correct inaccurate data; (c) Delete your account and all associated data; (d) Export your data in a portable format; (e) Object to processing; (f) Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. 7. Data Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from your Account settings page. This permanently removes all your personal data, reading progress, saved vocabulary, and quiz results. Deletion is irreversible and completed immediately.
8. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), and Plausible (privacy-friendly analytics). Each processes data under their own privacy policies. We do not share your data with any other third parties.
9. Children's Privacy
Nusoos is designed for learners of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email. The latest version is always available at this page.
