فِي الْبَحْرَيْنِ مِهْرَجَانٌ كَبِيرٌ لِلْمُوسِيقَى. يَكُونُ هَذَا الْمِهْرَجَانُ كُلَّ سَنَةٍ. فِيهِ حَفَلَاتٌ فِي كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ. تَأْتِي الْمُوسِيقَى مِنْ بِلَادٍ كَثِيرَةٍ. وَفِيهِ مُوسِيقَى مِنَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ أَيْضًا. وَفِي الْمِهْرَجَانِ وَرْشَةٌ لِلْغِنَاءِ. يَتَدَرَّبُ النَّاسُ فِيهَا عَلَى الصَّوْتِ وَالتَّنَفُّسِ. ثُمَّ يُغَنُّونَ مَعًا فِي مَجْمُوعَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ. هَذِهِ الْوَرْشَةُ فِي مَرْكَزِ الْفَنِّ. فِي الْمُحَرَّقِ بَيْتٌ عَرَبِيٌّ قَدِيمٌ. فِي اللَّيْلَةِ الْأَخِيرَةِ تَعْزِفُ فِيهِ فِرْقَةٌ مِنَ الشَّبَابِ. يَجْلِسُ الْجُمْهُورُ فِي سَاحَةِ الْبَيْتِ. وَتَبْدَأُ الْمُوسِيقَى فِي الْمَسَاءِ. أَغَانِي هَذِهِ الْفِرْقَةِ مِنَ الْبَحْرِ. يُغَنِّي الشَّبَابُ عَنِ الْغَوَّاصِينَ وَالسُّفُنِ. يَبْحَثُ الْغَوَّاصُ فِي الْأُغْنِيَةِ عَنِ اللُّؤْلُؤِ. وَفِي وَسَطِ الْفِرْقَةِ طَبْلٌ كَبِيرٌ. يَضْرِبُ رَجُلٌ هَذَا الطَّبْلَ بِيَدِهِ. وَفِي الْبَيْتِ وَرْشَةٌ لِلْأَطْفَالِ. يَصْنَعُ الْأَطْفَالُ فِيهَا طُبُولًا صَغِيرَةً. هَذِهِ الطُّبُولُ مِنْ خَشَبٍ وَجِلْدٍ. ثُمَّ يَضْرِبُ كُلُّ طِفْلٍ طَبْلَهُ. فِي آخِرِ اللَّيْلَةِ يَقِفُ الْجُمْهُورُ. يُصَفِّقُ النَّاسُ لِلْفِرْقَةِ وَلِلْأَطْفَالِ. تَخْرُجُ الْمُوسِيقَى مِنَ الْبَيْتِ إِلَى الشَّارِعِ. وَيَعُودُ الْمِهْرَجَانُ فِي السَّنَةِ الْقَادِمَةِ.
In Bahrain there is a big music festival. This festival takes place every year. In it there are concerts every night. The music comes from many countries. And it has music from Bahrain too. And the festival has a singing workshop. In it people practise their voice and their breathing. Then they sing together in one group. This workshop is at the art centre. In Muharraq there is an old Arab house. On the last night, a band of young men plays there. The audience sits in the courtyard of the house. And the music begins in the evening. The songs of this band come from the sea. The young men sing about the divers and the ships. In the song, the diver searches for the pearl. And in the middle of the band there is a big drum. A man strikes this drum with his hand. And in the house there is a workshop for children. In it the children make small drums. These drums are made of wood and leather. Then each child strikes his drum. At the end of the night the audience stands up. People clap for
