About these texts
A2 texts are for readers who can follow short sentences with some effort and want to read further. The level sits between A1 and B1 on the Nusoos scale, whose names come from the CEFR; the library can also show each text’s own CEFR band, and no level here is a certificate.
Texts grow from a few lines to a few paragraphs, and many explain how something is made or done. How Do We Make Argan Oil? starts in the argan forests of south-west Morocco; Water from Fog visits the Anti-Atlas, where years of drought have made drinking water hard to reach; and A Kayak on the Nile spends a Friday morning on the river in Giza. Food, crafts, science and school life all appear at this level.
