Potato Minitubers: In Air or in Peat?

دَرَنَاتُ الْبَطَاطِسِ الصَّغِيرَةُ: فِي الْهَوَاءِ أَمْ فِي الْبِيتْمُوسِ؟

About these texts

C1 texts are for fluent readers refining their vocabulary. The level takes its name from the CEFR’s C1; the library can also show each text’s own CEFR band, and no level here is a certificate.

These are long texts, and most of them reason about evidence: what a document establishes, what a measurement leaves out, how a name and a laboratory code can describe the same tree. What Does a Cotton Certificate Establish? separates a fibre test from the question of where a batch came from; Ebla: Why Keep More than the Total? asks why the scribes of an ancient storeroom wrote down more than a total; and Coffee Names and Genetic Maps sets a Yemeni farmer’s name for a coffee tree beside a laboratory’s genetic group.

Read for the argument as much as the facts, and keep the narration for the passages you want to hear as a reader would say them.

Not sure which level suits you? Take the placement test.
