About these texts
B2 texts are for readers who read comfortably and want more of a challenge. The level takes its name from the CEFR’s B2; the library can also show each text’s own CEFR band, and no level here is a certificate.
Many B2 texts follow a question through a real project and ask what the evidence can and cannot show. Kufrah’s circles reads NASA images of the farmland of south-eastern Libya; Wheat and salt sets a bold headline against what an experiment actually proves; and The Ugarit tablet asks what researchers can learn from signs nobody could yet read. The articles are longer, and the vocabulary reaches into science, heritage and the environment.
Use the narration to keep a long paragraph moving, and word help for the terms each field brings with it.
