الْعِيدُ فِي وَادِي حَنِيفَةَ

هَذَا وَادِي حَنِيفَةَ فِي الرِّيَاضِ. فِي الْعِيدِ تَذْهَبُ إِلَيْهِ عَائِلَاتٌ كَثِيرَةٌ. الْعِيدُ وَقْتٌ لِلْعَائِلَةِ وَالْأَصْدِقَاءِ. وَالْوَادِي مَكَانٌ جَمِيلٌ لِلنُّزْهَةِ. وَادِي حَنِيفَةَ طَوِيلٌ جِدًّا. هُوَ يَمُرُّ بِمَدِينَةِ الرِّيَاضِ. اسْمُهُ مِنِ اسْمِ قَبِيلَةٍ عَرَبِيَّةٍ قَدِيمَةٍ. حَوْلَ الْوَادِي جِبَالٌ. وَفِيهِ مَزَارِعُ وَبَسَاتِينُ. فِي الْمَاضِي كَانَ الْوَادِي مَكَانًا لِلْقُمَامَةِ. الْيَوْمَ هُوَ أَكْبَرُ مُنْتَزَهٍ طَبِيعِيٍّ فِي السُّعُودِيَّةِ. فِيهِ قَنَوَاتُ مَاءٍ وَطُرُقٌ لِلْمَشْيِ. وَفِيهِ بُحَيْرَاتٌ صَغِيرَةٌ وَسَدٌّ. الْوَادِي أَخْضَرُ وَنَظِيفٌ. وَمَنَاظِرُهُ جَمِيلَةٌ جِدًّا. تَأْتِي إِلَيْهِ طُيُورٌ مُهَاجِرَةٌ. وَهِيَ تَسْتَرِيحُ عِنْدَ الْمَاءِ. وَالْجَوُّ فِيهِ لَطِيفٌ. تَجْلِسُ الْعَائِلَاتُ فِي أَمَاكِنِ النُّزْهَةِ. يَشْوِي النَّاسُ اللَّحْمَ مَعَ الْأَهْلِ وَالْأَصْدِقَاءِ. وَيَمْشِي بَعْضُهُمْ فِي طُرُقِ الْوَادِي. بَعْضُ الْعَائِلَاتِ تَذْهَبُ فِي اللَّيْلِ. وَفِي الْوَادِي أَنْوَارٌ كَثِيرَةٌ. الْوَادِي مَكَانٌ مُهِمٌّ لِأَهْلِ الرِّيَاضِ. يَزُورُهُ النَّاسُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ فِي الْعِيدِ. وَيَزُورُهُ سُيَّاحٌ مِنْ خَارِجِ السُّعُودِيَّةِ أَيْضًا.

This is Wadi Hanifa in Riyadh. At Eid, many families go to it. Eid is a time for family and friends. And the valley is a beautiful place for a picnic. Wadi Hanifa is very long. It runs through the city of Riyadh. Its name comes from the name of an old Arab tribe. Around the valley there are mountains. And in it there are farms and orchards. In the past, the valley was a place for rubbish. Today it is the biggest natural park in Saudi Arabia. In it there are water channels and paths for walking. And in it there are small lakes and a dam. The valley is green and clean. And its views are very beautiful. Migrating birds come to it. And they rest by the water. And the weather there is pleasant. The families sit in the picnic spots. People grill meat with family and friends. And some of them walk on the valley’s paths. Some families go at night. And there are many lights in the valley. The valley is an important place for the people of Riyadh. People visit it every day at Eid. Tourists
