سَمَكٌ وَنَبَاتَاتٌ فِي بَيْتٍ وَاحِدٍ

طُلَّابٌ مِنْ جَامِعَةٍ فِي الْمُصَنَّعَةِ، فِي عُمَانَ، أَسَّسُوا شَرِكَةً صَغِيرَةً. وَالشَّرِكَةُ يُدِيرُهَا الطُّلَّابُ أَنْفُسُهُمْ، وَاسْمُهَا «الْجَذْرُ الْأَزْرَقُ». وَقَدْ صَنَعَتْ نِظَامًا ذَكِيًّا لِلزِّرَاعَةِ فِي الْبَيْتِ. وَعَرَضَتِ الشَّرِكَةُ فِكْرَتَهَا فِي مَعْرِضٍ لِشَرِكَاتِ الطُّلَّابِ. فِي هَذَا النِّظَامِ، تَعِيشُ النَّبَاتَاتُ وَالْأَسْمَاكُ مَعًا. فَالنَّبَاتَاتُ تَنْمُو فِي الْمَاءِ، بِدُونِ تُرَابٍ. وَالْأَسْمَاكُ تَعِيشُ فِي حَوْضٍ مِنَ الْمَاءِ. وَمَاءُ الْأَسْمَاكِ يُغَذِّي النَّبَاتَاتِ، وَالنَّبَاتَاتُ تُنَظِّفُ الْمَاءَ لِلْأَسْمَاكِ. وَالْأَسْمَاكُ وَالنَّبَاتَاتُ تَحْتَاجُ إِلَى مَاءٍ نَظِيفٍ، وَحَرَارَةٍ مُنَاسِبَةٍ. وَهَكَذَا يُصْبِحُ الْبَيْتُ مِثْلَ مَزْرَعَةٍ صَغِيرَةٍ. وَيَسْتَطِيعُ النَّاسُ أَنْ يَضَعُوا النِّظَامَ فِي الْبَيْتِ، أَوْ فِي مَكَانِ الْعَمَلِ. وَالنِّظَامُ يُتَابِعُ النَّبَاتَاتِ وَالْأَسْمَاكَ. فَعَلَى شَاشَةٍ، تَظْهَرُ الْمَعْلُومَاتُ فِي كُلِّ لَحْظَةٍ. مَثَلًا، تَظْهَرُ دَرَجَةُ الْحَرَارَةِ، وَصُورَةٌ ثُلَاثِيَّةُ الْأَبْعَادِ لِلنِّظَامِ. وَإِذَا تَغَيَّرَ شَيْءٌ، يُرْسِلُ النِّظَامُ تَنْبِيهًا فَوْرًا. تَخَيَّلْ صَبَاحَكَ مَعَ هَذَا النِّظَامِ. تَسْتَيْقِظُ، وَتَشْرَبُ الْقَهْوَةَ، ثُمَّ تَنْظُرُ إِلَى الشَّاشَةِ. الْحَرَارَةُ مُنَاسِبَةٌ، وَالْأَسْمَاكُ بِخَيْرٍ، وَالنَّبَاتَاتُ خَضْرَاءُ. ثُمَّ تَذْهَبُ إِلَى عَمَلِكَ. وَفِي الْمَسَاءِ، يَصِلُكَ تَنْبِيهٌ: الْمَاءُ أَصْبَحَ حَارًّا قَلِيلًا! فَتَذْهَبُ إِلَى الْحَوْضِ، وَتَنْظُرُ إِلَى الْأَسْمَاكِ. فَتَعْرِفُ الْمُشْكِلَةَ بِسُرْعَةٍ، قَبْلَ أَنْ تَكْبُرَ. وَهَكَذَا تَبْقَى الْأَسْمَاكُ وَالنَّبَاتَاتُ بِخَيْرٍ. وَبَعْدَ أَسَابِيعَ، تَأْكُلُ سَلَطَةً مِنْ نَبَاتَاتِ مَزْرَعَتِكَ الصَّغِيرَةِ.
