عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الزَّهْرَانِيّ يُصْلِحُ السَّاعَاتِ، وَعُمْرُهُ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ سَنَةً. فِي طُفُولَتِهِ، كَانَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَفْتَحَ الْأَشْيَاءَ. وَكَانَ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَكُونَ مُهَنْدِسَ طَائِرَاتٍ. بَدَأَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الْعَمَلَ فِي شَرِكَةٍ لِلسَّاعَاتِ. وَكَانَ مُصْلِحُو السَّاعَاتِ مِنْ بَلَدِهِ قَلِيلِينَ. فَقَرَّرَ أَنْ يَتَعَلَّمَ هَذَا الْعَمَلَ. تَعَلَّمَ فِي دَوْرَاتٍ عِنْدَ شَرِكَاتِ سَاعَاتٍ كَبِيرَةٍ. وَدَرَسَ فِي سُوِيسْرَا، وَأَخَذَ شَهَادَتَيْنِ. فِي دَوْرَةٍ خَاصَّةٍ، كَانَ الْمُدَرِّبُ مُدِيرًا كَبِيرًا فِي شَرِكَةِ سَاعَاتٍ. بَعْدَ الدَّوْرَةِ، أَعْطَاهُ الْمُدِيرُ هَدِيَّةً: صُنْدُوقًا فِيهِ أَدَوَاتٌ جَيِّدَةٌ. يَقُولُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ: كَانَ ذَلِكَ وَقْتًا سَعِيدًا جِدًّا فِي حَيَاتِي. وَيَقُولُ: هَذَا الْعَمَلُ يَحْتَاجُ إِلَى صَبْرٍ وَيَدٍ ثَابِتَةٍ. وَيَحْتَاجُ أَيْضًا إِلَى نَوْمٍ جَيِّدٍ وَرَاحَةٍ. وَعِنْدَمَا تُحِبُّ عَمَلَكَ، لَا تَشْعُرُ بِالْمَلَلِ. وَالْيَوْمَ يَدْرُسُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الْإِدَارَةَ فِي جَامِعَةٍ. وَيُرِيدُ أَنْ يَصْنَعَ سَاعَاتٍ سُعُودِيَّةً. وَيُرِيدُ مَرَاكِزَ لِإِصْلَاحِ السَّاعَاتِ الْغَالِيَةِ فِي السُّعُودِيَّةِ.
Abdulrahman Al-Zahrani repairs watches, and he is twenty-nine years old. As a child, he loved to open things up. And he wanted to be an aircraft engineer. Abdulrahman started work at a watch company. And there were few watch repairers from his country. So he decided to learn this work. He learned on courses at big watch companies. And he studied in Switzerland, and he got two certificates. On a special course, the trainer was a senior manager at a watch company. After the course, the manager gave him a gift: a box with good tools in it. Abdulrahman says: that was a very happy time in my life. And he says: this work needs patience and a steady hand. And it also needs good sleep and rest. And when you love your work, you do not feel bored. And today Abdulrahman studies management at a university. And he wants to make Saudi watches. And he wants centres for repairing expensive watches in Saudi Arabia.
