Darren Schneider is Australian, and he has lived in Bahrain for more than twenty-five years. He used to walk on the beach every morning. And he saw a lot of rubbish on the sand. So he started taking a rubbish bag every day. In 2014, he founded a group to clean the beaches. And friends and schools came to help. The group meets once a month, on a Friday or Saturday morning. And they clean the beach together for two hours. And they collect the plastic in bags. Once, a Bahraini family came with their children, and they brought drinks for everyone. And Darren says: the best thing is a clean beach.
