فِي مُرَّاكُشَ، فِي الْمَغْرِبِ، حَدِيقَةٌ كَبِيرَةٌ جِدًّا لِلصَّبَّارِ. اسْمُهَا «حَدِيقَةُ صَبَّارِ تِيمَان». وَهِيَ مِنْ أَكْبَرِ حَدَائِقِ الصَّبَّارِ فِي إِفْرِيقْيَا. فِي سَنَةِ ١٩٦٤، أَسَّسَ هَذِهِ الْحَدِيقَةَ رَجُلٌ أَلْمَانِيٌّ اسْمُهُ هَانْس تِيمَان. جَاءَ بِبُذُورِ الصَّبَّارِ وَنَبَاتَاتِهِ مِنْ أَلْمَانْيَا، وَزَرَعَهَا فِي مُرَّاكُشَ. وَابْنَتُهُ مَاغْدَالِينَا هِيَ مُدِيرَةُ الْحَدِيقَةِ الْيَوْمَ. تَقُولُ: اخْتَارَ أَبِي مُرَّاكُشَ بِسَبَبِ الْجَوِّ. كَانَ الْجَوُّ فِي ذَلِكَ الْوَقْتِ مُمْتَازًا لِلصَّبَّارِ. وَمُرَّاكُشُ قَرِيبَةٌ مِنْ أُورُوبَّا، فَكَانَ يُرْسِلُ الصَّبَّارَ إِلَى أُورُوبَّا وَإِلَى كُلِّ الْعَالَمِ. فِي الْبِدَايَةِ، كَانَتِ النَّبَاتَاتُ قَلِيلَةً، ثُمَّ كَبُرَتِ الْحَدِيقَةُ. وَالْيَوْمَ فِيهَا أَكْثَرُ مِنْ مِئَةٍ وَخَمْسِينَ نَوْعًا مِنَ الصَّبَّارِ. فِيهَا صَبَّارٌ صَغِيرٌ، وَفِيهَا صَبَّارٌ كَبِيرٌ وَطَوِيلٌ جِدًّا. وَلِلنَّبَاتَاتِ أَشْكَالٌ مُخْتَلِفَةٌ. وَالصَّبَّارُ يَعِيشُ جَيِّدًا فِي جَوِّ مُرَّاكُشَ الْحَارِّ وَالْجَافِّ. فِي الْحَدِيقَةِ، يَسْقُونَ النَّبَاتَاتِ، وَلَا يُضَيِّعُونَ الْمَاءَ. وَهَذَا مُهِمٌّ، فَالْمَاءُ قَلِيلٌ فِي مُرَّاكُشَ. تَقُولُ مَاغْدَالِينَا: يَظُنُّ النَّاسُ أَنَّ الصَّبَّارَ لَا يَحْتَاجُ إِلَى الْمَاءِ، لَكِنَّهُ يَحْتَاجُ إِلَيْهِ. يَزُورُ الْحَدِيقَةَ زُوَّارٌ كَثِيرُونَ، وَخَاصَّةً السُّيَّاحُ. يَأْتُونَ لِيَرَوُا الصَّبَّارَ وَالْمَنَاظِرَ الْجَمِيلَةَ. وَفِي وَسَطِ الْحَدِيقَةِ شَاحِنَةٌ قَدِيمَةٌ. كَانَتْ لِهَانْس، وَجَاءَ فِيهَا بِأَوَّلِ بُذُورِ الصَّبَّارِ إِلَى الْمَغْرِبِ. تَقُولُ مَاغْدَالِينَا: بِهَذِهِ الشَّاحِنَةِ، اكْتَشَفَ أَبِي مُرَّاكُشَ وَالْمَغْرِبَ وَإِفْرِيقْيَا.
