In Ramallah in Palestine there is an old ice cream shop. It is called “Rukab Ice Cream”. At the beginning, the family’s grandmother used to make ice cream at home. And her sons used to sell it to schoolchildren. Then in 1941 one of her sons opened the shop. And today the street is called “Rukab Street”. At the beginning the shop had only five flavours. They were milk, lemon, strawberry, pineapple and chocolate. And today it has about thirty flavours. Rukab ice cream is stretchy, and it has Arabic mastic in it. Tourists from many countries visit the shop. And Britain’s Prince William tasted it too.
