فِي بَيْرُوتَ زِحَامٌ كَبِيرٌ، فَفِي شَوَارِعِهَا نِصْفُ مِلْيُونِ سَيَّارَةٍ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ. وَفِي سَنَةِ ٢٠١٧، بَدَأَ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ مَشْرُوعٌ لِلدَّرَّاجَاتِ. وَبَدَأَ الْمَشْرُوعُ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ فِي مَدِينَةِ جُبَيْل. وَيُرِيدُ الْمَشْرُوعُ زِحَامًا أَقَلَّ وَهَوَاءً أَنْظَفَ. فِي الْمَشْرُوعِ، تَسْتَأْجِرُ دَرَّاجَةً مِنْ مَحَطَّةٍ، ثُمَّ تُرْجِعُهَا إِلَى مَحَطَّةٍ. وَسِعْرُ السَّاعَةِ ثَلَاثَةُ دُولَارَاتٍ تَقْرِيبًا. وَلِلْمُشْتَرِكِينَ شَهْرِيًّا سِعْرٌ أَقَلُّ. فِي الْبِدَايَةِ، كَانَتْ فِي بَيْرُوتَ مَحَطَّةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَقَطْ، فِي وَسَطِ الْمَدِينَةِ. وَفِي الْمُسْتَقْبَلِ، سَتَكُونُ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ خَمْسٌ وَعِشْرُونَ مَحَطَّةً. وَسَيَكُونُ فِي مُدُنٍ أُخْرَى، مِثْلِ طَرَابُلُسَ وَصَيْدَا وَصُورَ.
Beirut has heavy traffic: half a million cars are on its streets every day. And in 2017, a bicycle project started in the city. And the project had started before that in the city of Byblos. And the project wants less traffic and cleaner air. In the project, you rent a bicycle from a station, then you return it to a station. And the price of an hour is about three dollars. And monthly members pay a lower price. At the start, there was only one station in Beirut, in the city centre. And in the future, there will be twenty-five stations in the city. And it will be in other cities, like Tripoli, Sidon and Tyre.
