فِي شَمَالِ تُونِسَ، قُرْبَ مَدِينَةِ بَنْزَرْتَ، بُحَيْرَةٌ اسْمُهَا إِشْكِلْ. وَهِيَ مِنْطَقَةٌ رَطْبَةٌ مُهِمَّةٌ عَلَى قَائِمَةِ التُّرَاثِ الْعَالَمِيِّ، وَحَوْلَهَا حَدِيقَةٌ وَطَنِيَّةٌ. وَفِي الشِّتَاءِ تَأْتِي إِلَيْهَا طُيُورُ الْمَاءِ، مِثْلُ الْبَطِّ وَالْإِوَزِّ، هَرَبًا مِنْ بَرْدِ أُورُوبَّا. وَفِي هَذَا الْوَقْتِ يَكُونُ مَاؤُهَا عَذْبًا، مِنَ الْمَطَرِ وَالْأَنْهَارِ. وَفِي الصَّيْفِ يَدْخُلُهَا مَاءُ الْبَحْرِ، فَيَصِيرُ مَاؤُهَا مَالِحًا. وَفِي يَوْمِ أَحَدٍ مِنْ شَهْرِ فِبْرَايِرَ، نَظَّمَتْ جَمْعِيَّةٌ لِحِمَايَةِ الطَّبِيعَةِ رِحْلَةً إِلَى الْبُحَيْرَةِ. وَشَارَكَ فِيهَا أَرْبَعُونَ شَخْصًا: شَبَابٌ، وَتَلَامِيذُ مِنْ مَدْرَسَةٍ ابْتِدَائِيَّةٍ، وَمُتَطَوِّعُونَ مِنَ الْهِلَالِ الْأَحْمَرِ. فِي الْبِدَايَةِ، اسْتَمَعُوا إِلَى دَرْسٍ عَنِ الْمَنَاطِقِ الرَّطْبَةِ. وَالْمِنْطَقَةُ الرَّطْبَةُ أَرْضٌ يُغَطِّيهَا الْمَاءُ، كُلَّ السَّنَةِ أَوْ فِي بَعْضِ الشُّهُورِ. بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ، مَشَوْا مَعَ مُرْشِدٍ فِي الْحَدِيقَةِ. وَكَانَ الْمُرْشِدُ يَشْرَحُ لَهُمْ مَا يَرَوْنَ مِنْ حَيَوَانَاتٍ وَنَبَاتَاتٍ. وَفِي هَذِهِ الْحَدِيقَةِ تَعِيشُ جَوَامِيسُ كَبِيرَةٌ، تُحِبُّ الْمَاءَ وَالطِّينَ. وَفِي النِّهَايَةِ، شَارَكُوا فِي وَرْشَةٍ لِمُشَاهَدَةِ طُيُورِ الْمَاءِ. وَاسْتَعْمَلُوا أَدَوَاتٍ خَاصَّةً: الْمِنْظَارَ، وَالْمِقْرَابَ، وَدَلِيلًا لِلطُّيُورِ. وَالْمِنْظَارُ يُقَرِّبُ الْأَشْيَاءَ الْبَعِيدَةَ، فَتَرَاهَا الْعَيْنُ بِوُضُوحٍ. وَفِي الدَّلِيلِ صُوَرُ الطُّيُورِ وَأَسْمَاؤُهَا. فَإِذَا رَأَوْا طَائِرًا عَلَى الْبُحَيْرَةِ، بَحَثُوا عَنْ صُورَتِهِ فِي الدَّلِيلِ، وَعَرَفُوا اسْمَهُ.
In the north of Tunisia, near the city of Bizerte, there is a lake called Ichkeul. It is an important wetland on the World Heritage list, and around it there is a national park. And in summer sea water comes into it, so its water becomes salty. And on a Sunday in February, a nature protection association organised a trip to the lake. Forty people took part: young people, pupils from a primary school, and Red Crescent volunteers. First, they listened to a lesson about wetlands. A wetland is land that water covers, all year or in some months. After that, they walked with a guide in the park. And the guide explained to them the animals and plants they saw.
