In Nouakchott, the capital of Mauritania, there was a festival of folk tales. And on Friday, young men and women who tell stories came to it. First, the European Union ambassador welcomed them. He said: in Europe, stories are mostly written, and here people tell them out loud. Then Ciré Camara, whose idea the festival was, said: the tale teaches young people, and it is part of our culture. After that, the young people told their stories in front of the people, one after another. In their stories there were old myths and memories. And the audience listened to them. And at the end, the audience felt like children again.
