هَذِهِ حَدِيقَةُ حَيَوَانَاتٍ فِي طَرَابُلُسَ. طَرَابُلُسُ عَاصِمَةُ لِيبِيَا. وَالْحَدِيقَةُ دَاخِلَ غَابَةٍ كَبِيرَةٍ. وَهِيَ مُغْلَقَةٌ مُنْذُ سَنَوَاتٍ طَوِيلَةٍ. تَفْتَحُ الْحَدِيقَةُ فِي أَوَّلِ يَوْمٍ مِنْ عِيدِ الْفِطْرِ. فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ يَنْزِلُ الْمَطَرُ بِقُوَّةٍ. لَكِنْ تَقِفُ عَائِلَاتٌ كَثِيرَةٌ أَمَامَ الْبَابِ لِلدُّخُولِ. وَالْأَطْفَالُ فِي مَلَابِسِ الْعِيدِ الْجَدِيدَةِ. فِي الْحَدِيقَةِ أُسُودٌ وَنُمُورٌ وَدِبَبَةٌ. وَفِيهَا الْمَهَا الْأَبْيَضُ. لِلْمَهَا قُرُونٌ طَوِيلَةٌ وَرَفِيعَةٌ. يَنْظُرُ الْأَطْفَالُ إِلَى الْحَيَوَانَاتِ بِدَهْشَةٍ. وَفِي الْحَدِيقَةِ حَيَوَانَاتٌ مِنْ لِيبِيَا أَيْضًا. مِنْهَا الْفَنَكُ وَالْغَزَالُ وَالْوَدَّانُ. الْوَدَّانُ حَيَوَانٌ مِثْلُ الْمَاعِزِ. وَلَهُ قُرُونٌ مُنْحَنِيَةٌ. وَهُوَ يَعِيشُ فِي مِنْطَقَةِ وَدَّانَ. يَأْتِي أَبٌ مَعَ أَطْفَالِهِ الثَّلَاثَةِ. هُوَ يَلْبَسُ ثَوْبًا تَقْلِيدِيًّا. تَنْظُرُ ابْنَتُهُ إِلَى الْأَسَدِ. الْأَسَدُ فِي رَأْيِهَا أَكْبَرُ مِنْ أَسَدِ التِّلْفَازِ. وَالْأَبُ سَعِيدٌ بِهَذِهِ النُّزْهَةِ. فِي الْحَدِيقَةِ الْيَوْمَ أَشْجَارٌ جَدِيدَةٌ مِنْ أَنْوَاعٍ كَثِيرَةٍ. وَفِيهَا أَلْعَابٌ لِلْأَطْفَالِ. وَلِلْحَيَوَانَاتِ بُيُوتٌ جَدِيدَةٌ. وَتُرِيدُ الْإِدَارَةُ فِيَلَةً وَزَرَافَاتٍ.
This is a zoo in Tripoli. Tripoli is the capital of Libya. The zoo is inside a big forest. It has been closed for many years. The zoo opens on the first day of Eid al-Fitr. On that day, it rains hard. But many families stand at the gate to go in. The children are in their new Eid clothes. In the zoo there are lions, tigers and bears. And it has the white oryx. The oryx has long, thin horns. The children look at the animals in amazement. The zoo also has animals from Libya. Among them are the fennec fox, the gazelle and the waddan. The waddan is an animal like a goat. It has curved horns. It lives in the Waddan region. A father comes with his three children. He wears a traditional robe. His daughter looks at the lion. In her view, the lion is bigger than the lion on television. The father is happy with this outing. Today the zoo has new trees of many kinds. It has rides for children. And the animals have new houses. And the management wants elephants and giraffes.
